Riverside.io Awarded Innovation Honoree of the Month

This month Riverside.io was recognized as the Mayor's Innovation Honoree for their continued commitment to strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Riverisde.

Riverside.io is Riverside's first coworking space and operates as a member-based organization and provides a shared working environment that promote collaboration among its members. In the first year as coworking space, Riverside.io has seen tremendous success and continues to grow in membership. Its notable accomplishments include recruiting twenty members, hosting 12 events per month, sponsoring the Inland Empire‚Äôs first collegiate hackathon "Citrus Hack," educating students in coding and now expanding to a larger location to accommodate their growth.

Furthermore, Riverside.io has begun to see spinoffs from their members who have built their own startups. One example of this is member Kevin Chandler whose startup is called Steppr, which collects all the steps you've taken using your Fitbit or such device, and builds an interface around them so that you can apply those steps to charities like Walk for Cancer.
