Riverside Metro Area Ranked Nation’s 20th Best

"The Inland Empire jumped 24 places in a ranking by the Milken Institute to become the 20th “best-performing city.”

The Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario metropolitan area competed against other metro areas in the “large city” category on several economic measures. Changes fueling the overall improvement included 5-year salaries and wage growth." The Anaheim-Santa Ana-Irvine area nearly traded ranks with Riverside, falling further than Riverside's previous year's rank. The Los Angeles area also continues its downward trend in dipping further in standing than its surrounding areas.

"The region’s one-year job growth ranked eighth.  The overall rank was the best in Southern California and fourth in the state. The Provo-Orem area in Utah ranked first." Full analysis.
