Dinner at the Citrus Packing House to be hosted by GrowRIVERSIDE on December 9th
GrowRIVERSIDE is an initiative that aims to equip the public with tools and knowledge to create a strong marketplace for local food systems, generate opportunities for community and economic development, advance public policy related to food and agriculture, and provide a venue for stakeholders to network. As a venue for that initiative, GrowRIVERSIDE is proud to showcase the Citrus Packing House as a part of their ongoing series, their "farm-to-fork" dinner.
Sponsored by Riverside Unified School District's nutrition program, which promotes healthy eating by increasing the availability of fruits and vegetables in school lunches through revenue neutral sourcing from local small farmers, this dinner seeks to showcase their talent and promote healthy eating and local agriculture. Featuring Chef Gavin Brody and the superstars of Riverside Unified School District's Nutrition Services, this team returns to the farm-to-fork dinner series to serve "Dinner at the Citrus Packing House" in the citrus packing facility of Riverside's Corona-College Heights Orange & Lemon Association. The event will also have entertainment and a myriad of local craft brews to quench your thirst.
The address for the event is 8000 Lincoln Avenue in Riverside, and the event will run from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The cost per ticket is set at $75 per person, and all ticket proceeds help fund the GrowRIVERSIDE Initiative to support Riverside's local food system.
Seating will be limited and this event is expected to sell out, so grab a ticket while you can!
