Business Spotlight: Hampton Indoor Tennis Center

Hampton Indoor Tennis Center has created quite a racket in the Inland Empire since opening almost 3 years ago. Growing up in Riverside and heavily involved in the tennis community throughout the Inland Empire, founder Brian Huerter recognized a demand that was not being met. There were not enough tennis programs available for kids and families to learn the exciting game of tennis. Also, weather conditions are the biggest distractions in tennis training. Whether it is heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, or sun glare, poor weather conditions interrupt a regular playing schedule and cause classes to be cancelled. Brian Huerter and his business partner Jonathan Miller opened SoCal’s first indoor tennis facility to bring the game to kids and families, creating a fun experience while eliminating weather factors.

“We wanted connect with kids and families who have little to no tennis experience and create a fun learning atmosphere that will make them fall in love with the sport,” says Jonathan Miller.

Since opening in 2012, Hampton Indoor Tennis Center has gained recognition and a positive reputation among Southern CA’s tennis community. They recently hosted a tournament for USC’s men’s team along with 3 other universities at their state of the art facility. The United States Tennis Association (USTA) has also brought top professionals by to train under their roof.

Committed to bringing tennis to kids and young adults, Hampton Indoor Tennis Center maintains sponsorship programs with Riverside Unified School District, charter schools, and offers classes with the City of Riverside’s Parks and Recreations department. The center is always busy. Hampton’s staff and team of instructors are currently gearing up for junior tournaments coming in February. When warm weather returns, Hampton’s will feature summer camps and programs for kids and teens. Hampton Indoor Tennis Center is a great place for kids and families who don’t have any tennis experience to come learn and have a great time.
