Best, Best & Krieger has been in Riverside for more than 125 years. I love it here because it’s a big city with a small town feel. It’s easy to join civic organizations, and I like the attitude of the people who live here. The housing and commercial real estate prices are low here compared to Orange and Los Angeles County, and because we have four colleges here in Riverside, you have access to a highly educated labor pool.
Riverside is a really good place to get to know people and connect with resources. The City has an active Chamber of Commerce, and it’s easy to find other businesses who may need your services. During the 2008 recession most cities stopped spending money, but Riverside didn’t. We spent a billion dollars on our infrastructure over five years and it shows. Riverside is one of those cities you just have to feel for yourself. You can’t just look at it; you have to feel it. Between the architecture, downtown and civic pride, it’s one of those places you just feel it once you’re here.
We had outgrown our facility as our business grew, we started to look for a larger building. We just were not finding anything in Ontario, so when we came out to Riverside to look at some facilities, Economic Development fantastic. They showed us this building and it was ready for us to build out to our specs which worked out perfect. I think the City of Riverside is friendly toward businesses. They have been very cooperative toward us with our parking situation, and we found them very helpful with any issues we’ve had.
