Session 1 (Feb. 15)- Global Business Opportunites for Small Business- Participants will learn to utilize databases to determine best markets, describe the benefits of trade agreements, classify a good and determine the duty rates for specific products
Session 2 (Feb. 22)- Exploring Market Entry Strategies- This module covers export distribution consideration, direct exporting, indirect exporting and locating foreign representatives and buyers. The presentation will help you better understand the methods and channels involved in the export sales process.
Session 3 (Mar. 1)- International Trade Finance and Methods of Payment- Understanding how to get paid for an export sale is crucial, since your buyer could be 10,000 miles away. This training discusses how your organization can finance the transaction and related business costs from the time you obtain the order, through the production cycle, to the time you receive final payment.
Session 4 (Mar. 8)- International Shipping and Legal Issues- This session covers export distribution considerations, direct exporting, indirect exporting, Foreign Trade Zones and various com-ponents of agency and distributor agreements
Session 5 (Mar. 15)- E-Commerce- This session covers e-commerce, how it has evolved in international trade, and how your business can use it for exporting.
